The Best of the Cotswolds ~ August 29th-September 7th

Immerse yourself in England’s picture perfect countryside, as you spend 8 nights/7 days walking from inn to inn through the Best of the Cotswolds. Hike among the rolling hills, deep forests, green valleys and small historic villages and see why this area is one of the most loved places in England.

We’ll visit bustling market towns full of artisans and local crafts men and women and immerse ourselves in the natural landscapes and the quaint villages built with the famed Cotswold stone, thatched roofs and beautifully tended gardens.

We will spend a couple of extra days in the area so the hikes will be at a more leisurely pace, giving us plenty of time to explore, go to some must see attractions and visit the local shops, quintessential pubs and exquisite tea rooms.

Our first night will be spent in London as we meet with our small group (8 people max), recover a bit from jet lag and see a show in London’s West End.

August 29th – September 7th, 2025

During this 10 day/9 night village-to-village hiking trip we’ll literally be stepping into the charm and history of rural England.  With the perfect combination of activity and relaxation, we’ll explore all that the Cotswolds have to offer, sometimes stopping off at a pub for some fish and chips, resting amid the rolling hills for a picnic lunch, or visiting one of the myriad of artesian shops along the way.   Our luggage will be transported for us, so all we have to do is hike, stroll, eat and play on the way to our next village.

Trip Highlights

  • Experience the Best of the Cotswolds with a bit longer of an itinerary.  We’ll have shorter walking days with ample time to enjoy the scenery, visit the many attractions along the way and stroll around each village.

  • Prearranged travel within England, stays at small inns and hotels, luggage transfer between villages as well as breakfasts and dinners during our trip.  All you have to do is show up and enjoy!

  • The option to join additional tours such as a Bourton Gardens visit or the Cotswolds Falconry Centre , or just spend some extra time with a pint at one of the quaint pubs or strolling through the picturesque village squares

Fitness and Hiking Level

Fitness Level is rated at 2 out of 5.  Most of the hikes are between 5-7 miles and will be a combination of climbing up and down rolling hills with some steeper segments and ambling through fields and villages.

Although this trip is not considered a strenuous hike, it will be decent mileage every day and will give you the perfect opportunity to get in great shape before you go, so you can have an amazing adventure!

If you’re not in the physical shape you would like to be right now, I’m happy to help you work out a fitness routine that will easily get you there.
